Why hello there! My name is Sharon, but everyone always calls me Shari. I am a full-time mother of two boys. My oldest is in college, and my youngest will be attending college next year. After raising my boys on my own for the last 15 years, I am a soon-to-be empty nester. I’ve been loving post-divorce life! I don’t want to say that I can’t wait for Ryan, my youngest boy, to leave, but I am somewhat excited about all the plans I have for my home. I live in a three-bedroom single family home in a small town that’s about 1 hour away from the nearest major city. Not too far, by any means. Ryan will be leaving for college in August, so I want to start planning for his departure, both physically around the house and emotionally.
When my oldest boy, Taylor, left 4 years ago, I was devastated. I didn’t want to accept the fact that my son was moving 2,000 miles away from home. I had spent all of my adult life working long hours, trying to give my kids everything. I’m a nurse, so long hours are par for the course, but I would also pick up other people’s shifts just so my boys wouldn’t want for anything. I was a mess four years ago, but now I have a totally different outlook. I joined a “divorcees” group at church, and my entire perspective on life changed for the better.
Now, instead of falling apart because my youngest is going to college, I am excited about all the plans I have for my house. I’m interested in a very particular type of light known as a ___ light. I worked hard for this place, so why not do with it what I please, starting with some ___ light fixtures? So far, I was thinking of converting Ryan’s room into an office/library room.
I have been looking into several types of lighting fixtures that will suit this room, and so far I’ve come across a website by the name of ___ that has exactly what I’m looking for. Browsing through their site has given me so many ideas for my entire home. I want to install vintage ___ in my bathroom, ___ lights in my kitchen, and ___ lights in my soon-to-be library room. I’m so excited!
